LEO PROJECT

LEO can offer you a truly African experience through an

exciting volunteer programme, based in the heart of the

magnificent Limpopo Province in South Africa. The Selati Game

Reserve is home to the pride of six lion, LEO actively monitor.

As a volunteer, you will assist in all aspects of the research

programme, helping to determine the movements, behaviour

and the impact the lions have on the prey population within the

35,000 hectare reserve. All data obtained is available to LEO

volunteers to reference for tertiary studies. LEO was founded

in order to obtain this vital data to allow the reserve managers

to maintain an ecological balance and allow responsible and

informed decisions to be made.

Volunteering for LEO gives you the opportunity to gain valuable

knowledge on indigenous fauna and flora by becoming more

aware of your environment and learning bush ethics. Most

importantly, you will be contributing to conservation in one of

South Africa's most diverse havens.

Take the opportunity of this wonderful experience after your stay at Daktari. Visit Leo’s website (http://www.leoafrica.org) and arrange your booking with Daktari for a special price of R 2500 for a week from Monday to Monday.
