Who participates?

This opportunity is open to all. Schools and volunteers from all over the world participate. Our particular targets are the local underprivileged children.

Daktari sponsors the education, care and accommodation of a different group of rural children every week, who stay at Daktari for a period of five days. The aim is to ensure that every child in a particular school, in Grade 8, for example, has the same opportunity.

To do this we have volunteers for a period of 2 weeks, 1 month or more, who give help with the education of the children and the care of orphaned wild animals.

Caring of our orphaned wild animals involves specialized feeding, all-hour supervision, summonsing veterinary care, and providing the nursing necessary.

The management and staff are experienced people, and volunteers from all over the world have the passion and/or knowledge to assist.
